International Jujutsu Cup held in Bosnia

 

 

On Saturday December 18th 2004 an International Jujutsu Cup was hosted by Martial Arts Academy from Brcko District, Bosnia. President of this organization and host of the event is Bosko Vidovic sensei, one of founders of first jujutsu clubs in Bosnia & Herzegovina, member of Martial Arts International Federation. Over 90 competitors from eight clubs gathered, representing jujutsu from Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Serbia. National Jujutsu Team of Serbian Budo Council and Ju-Jutsu Federation of Serbia participated too, with members from clubs in Pozarevac (Shinbukan Dojo), Petrovac (Jissen Budo Club) and Sremska Mitrovica (Jujutsu club "Bezbednost"). Serbian competitors won over 20 medals, mostly gold and silver medals in senior Duo system concurrence and Fighting system. The best were Duo system competitors from Sremska Mitrovica Nikolovski & Trivkovic and Besic & Precep, and the most successful individual competitor was Milan Dadasovic from Shinbukan Dojo, who won four medals in four categories, including gold in Fighting system and silver in senior Duo system.

The host provided special trophies for the most successful clubs, and the first place went to Jujutsu club from Celinac (Bosnia). Second was Jujutsu club from Gunja (Croatia).

Dr. Ivica Zdravkovic was the coach for Serbian representatives and the official Supervisor of the event (Supreme referee). Congratulations to hosts and jujutsu friends Bosko Vidovic, Predrag Sabados, Miroslav Mirkovic, Nikola Margetic, Sasa Kanlic, Zeljko Stjepanovic, Edvin Smajic, Ragib Karamehmedovic, Irena Serna and others.
