New Year's International Rucanor Jujutsu Cup

Sevnice, Slovenia, December 11th 2004

On traditional 3rd Rucanor cup in Slovenia, organized and hosted by Ippon Jujutsu club from Sevnice, under guidance of Miran Grubensek sensei (5th Dan), among 12 teams from Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia, there were also representatives of Ju-Jutsu Federation of Serbia. Members of Serbian team were: Aleksandar Ajhinger (Sremska Mitrovica, fighting -85 kg), Biljana Mirkovic (Petrovac, fighting, +70), Boljana Biljana (Pozarevac, fighting -58 kg) and Nikola Misic (Pozarevac, fighting -77kg). Team was leaded by Aleksandar Alimpic from Sremska Mitrovica, president of Contests' Commission of Ju-Jutsu Federation of Serbia, Srdjan Ilic, president of Serbian Budo Council, and Slobodan Saric, president of Referees' Comission of Ju-Jutsu Federation of Serbia. Mister Saric was engaged as a referee on this tournament. Whole competition was splendidly organized, and near 110 competitors have showed very good fights in cadets, junior and senior concurrence. Members of national team made some outstanding results. Aleksandar Ajhinger won gold in junior concurrence and silver in senior concurrence and was awarded as the best fighter of the whole tournament. He missed gold in senior concurrence only because of lack of experience with new modified rules of JJIF. Biljana Mirkovic was also the best in her category and she won golden medal. After an exceptional judo career, she is continuing with champion titles in jujutsu, winning her third gold this year. Nikola Misic and Biljana Ilijevska won bronze medals. All members of national team express their gratitude to Miran Grubensek sensei, for his outstanding hospitality and friendship. Mr. Grubensek is at the moment one of best international friends of Ju-Jutsu Federation of Serbia. Participation od Serbian team is announced for upcoming international events in Slovenia.

Sevnice 2004
